module 1: setting your foundations

Learn how to set SMART goals and create action steps that will help you meet those goals. Set your non-negotiables, and work through journal prompts that will help you improve your relationship with food and your body.

module 2: post-op diet advancement

This lesson is your guide on how to navigate each stage of your post-op diet (liquids, puree, soft foods and solids). In this module, you’ll also find sample breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack ideas for each stage!

Gain a strong understanding of protein, carbs, fats, and fluids and how they each impact your body and their role after bariatric surgery. Plus you’ll learn how to read a nutrition facts (food) label.

module 3: nutrition 101

module 4: mapping out your day

In this module I’ll walk you through how to create and implement a daily schedule for meeting your protein and fluid needs. Plus you’ll learn how to log food in a way that helps you discover which foods on what schedule makes you feel the best. 

module 5: meal planning & building a balanced bariatric plate

Learn how to build balanced bariatric meals from start to finish. Plus enjoy some of my favorite recipes and snag copies of sample meal plans (4 weeks regular + 1 week plant-based) for months 1-3, 3-6, 6-12, and 1 year+ post-op.

module 6: intentional eating

Learn how to eat mindfully and intentionally (instead of following food rules and yo-yo diets). Discover how to hone in on your hunger and fullness cues, understand slider foods and how they affect the bariatric diet, and tips on how to work through emotional eating.

module 7: special occasions

Find guidance on how to navigate restaurants, traveling, eating on the go, and eating during the holidays.

module 8: nourishing your relationship with food

  • Nope! Now is actually a GREAT time for you to learn the information in Nourished Bariatric Basics so you feel completely prepared and confident post-op.

  • Yes, this course will help you ditch the all-or-nothing mentality when it comes to eating. You’ll learn how to nourish your body in a balanced and consistent way!

  • While I always recommend following your surgeon’s post-op diet guidelines, this course does offer support on the post-op diet as well which can be helpful to supplement the information given by your surgery center. There are generally approved food and drink lists, sample schedules, and sample meal plans for each diet stage.

  • Absolutely! It is always good to have a refresher, especially if you’ve been less intentional with your habits or didn’t have a solid nutrition plan/education when you had surgery.

  • Yes! You will find many plant-based meal ideas and a one week plant-based meal plan.

  • This is a self-paced course with on-demand modules filled to the brim with everything you need to know about nourishing your body post-op. Unlike in my coaching programs you’ll be working through this content on your own.

    This is a great option for anyone who isn’t able to comfortably afford joining one of my coaching programs; it’s also an amazing option for those who prefer independent learning!
